11 years ago, Joshua Iniyezo better known by his stage name SolidStar Isoko or simply SolidStar announced himself to the world with his debut album, One in a Million which went on to become a huge hit.

Following the success of his debut album, the talented musician who began his musical career as a drummer for a local church in his hometown, Aviara, Delta State released some hit singles such as Silicon featuring Timaya, International Woman, Nwa Baby featuring the legendary 2Face Idibia (2Baba), Wait featuring Tiwa Savage and Patoranking, Perfect Girl featuring Vector and Jesse Jagz etc.

2010 was indeed a successful year for Solidstar who won the Best New Artiste at the Nigeria Music Video Award (NMVA).

Signed by Ossy Achievas (Achievas Records), with his back to back hits, Solidstar became popularly known across Nigeria and Africa. His star was indeed a solid one and he was

After the success in 2010, Solidstar musical didn't really gather enough pace to keep him in the limelight as predicted by many professionals who had endorsed him for greatness. The closest he was to the success of 2010 was The Headies Best Raggae/Dancehall nomination (2015) with a song titled My Body featuring Timaya.

After that nomination, little was heard about him, and in January 2015, Solidstar announced that he has amicably parted ways with his Record Label, Achievas Entertainment after 10 years of working together.

In a statement announcing his exit from the record label, Solidstar wrote;

“I Joshua Iniyezo aka Solidstar wish to use this opportunity to thank my former label Achievas Ent for being there for me over 10Yrs words cannot express how grateful I am, Special S/O to @OssyAchievas @ColePeter by bosses and the entire team for having my back U R still my family even as I begin another chapter career wise #SHABA!”

Achievas Records confirmed that he left with the message below;

“We wish to hereby inform the public that Achievas Entertainment has ended its contract agreement with musician Solidstar. The two parties reached a mutual decision to end the contract after working for over 10years together. All previous recording audios, music videos, albums of the singer remains property of Achievas Entertainment. We wish him all the best as he starts a new life!”

Fast forward to March 2020, PMNewsNigeria.com reported that the singer had a spark with his former label boss, Paul Cole Chiori, a Nigerian media entrepreneur and music executive who he accused of always wanting to see him sad.

He wrote; “I’ve been nothing but good to you and ur family from day 1, but you want to see me sad, the table will turn at the end @ossyachievas”

Osy Achievas who fired back at Solidstar alleged that the singer did not generate 10% of the N100m he invested in his career in the 10 years they worked together.

He also disclosed that the singer is owing to him even though they parted ways peacefully in 2017.

However, Solid Star while dishing out a list of some of the successes he recorded with the label stated that he was urged to renew his contract which he declined.

He took to his Insta Story and wrote; “I can proudly say I made more than 200million for my former company throughout the years I spent, from shows alone every year alone 50million is a must, Oluchi ft Flavour, Wait ft Pato and Tiwa, My body ft Timaya, Wait ft Davido, Skibo, one in a million ft 2baba, Nwa Baby ft 2baba, Baby Jollof ft Tiwa..”

The singer then shocked his fans by setting the contract agreement he had with his former record label, Achievas Entertainment on fire. He took to his Instagram stories to share the videos of himself burning the contract agreement.

With all these problems surrounding his musical career, the talented musician was distracted and his career suffered great setbacks.

Arinzee Lexus comment:
"Try harder to get back to your fame pillar, your pattern now is too childish, I listened to your last EP and I was so disappointed and now you have floppy disc as an album. Listen to your old songs and see how your fans vibe to it. Work hard my brother don't be too relaxed because ur fame is on low flames. Remove pride and ft some good artist not minding if they are new in the game or not. Music is like politics, no permanent enemy and no permanent friend. Tap others blessing when they are at limelight"

Richardson Azare comment:
"That's a good vibe I like it"

Boi Vibez comment:
"The mix of this album doesn't sound professional my isoko brother"
