One of the most underestimated self-care routines is peace of mind.

When someone is at peace, everything works.

Peace is a cure for all kinds of pain you can think of. It is a blessing we often overlook, that we hardly pray for except when we are in serious danger.

We should seek peace at all times, and pray for peace at all times. Why? Because we are always in danger.

In Ephesians chapter 5 verse 16, the Bible made it clear that: "These are evil times, so make every minute count."

If you look around you today, you will agree that indeed, these are evil days.

These are the days that our thoughts and feeling are formed most times from the bad news around us.

Naturally, all creatures seek peace when they are troubled. Most times, most people seek peace in the wrong places. The peace they seek often compounds the problem. It goes from bad to worse and it keeps going until it gets really bad.

In the midst of the storm of life, the best way to seek the peace that God has given you is through Jesus?

Philippians 4 verse 7, Contemporary English Version says:

Then because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.

First Kings chapter 5 verse 4 (the New Living Translation) says: "The Lord my God has given me peace on every side, I have no enemies, and all is well with me".

This is a testimony. It can be your testimony too.

From today, make it a conscious effort to seek peace in all you do and where you go. And I pray for you that in peace you will go out and return to lie down and sleep.

Amen.
